Baby Room (approx. 6 – 18 months)
Our Baby Room is a calm, nurturing space where every child is cared for with warmth, patience and plenty of one-to-one attention. We take the time to get to know each baby's routines, personality and individual needs, creating a sense of security that helps them grow with confidence.
Each day includes sensory play, music, stories, movement, outdoor time and lots of opportunities to explore the world around them. Guided by the principles of Aistear, we know that babies learn best through loving relationships, play and everyday experiences.
Sleep and feeding routines are followed in partnership with parents, while home-cooked meals, safe sleep practices and high-quality care ensure your baby feels happy, settled and at home.
Playgroup Room (approx. 18 months – 3 years)
This is a wonderful stage of curiosity, growing independence and endless discovery. Our Playgroup Room is filled with opportunities to play, explore and learn through hands-on experiences inspired by children's emerging interests.
Guided by Aistear, children enjoy sensory play, music, stories, messy play, creative activities, outdoor adventures and plenty of opportunities to build confidence through everyday routines.
As children grow, we gently encourage independence, friendships and communication while supporting them to understand their feelings and develop important social skills.
This is also where children begin Year 1 Montessori. Through carefully planned, age-appropriate Montessori activities, they are introduced to Montessori materials and practical life experiences that help develop concentration, confidence and independence, creating a natural transition into our Montessori Room.
Toilet learning is always approached respectfully and in partnership with families, with each child progressing at their own pace.
Montessori Room (approx. 3 – 5 years)
Our Montessori Room combines the hands-on learning of Montessori with the play-based principles of Aistear, creating an environment where children become confident, curious and independent learners.
Each morning includes an uninterrupted Montessori work cycle, allowing children to develop concentration, practical life skills, early literacy and numeracy through carefully prepared materials.
Our Montessori curriculum includes:
Practical Life – caring for themselves, caring for others and their environment
Sensorial – developing the senses through carefully designed Montessori materials
Language & Early Maths – building communication, literacy and numeracy through hands-on experiences
Culture & Creativity – exploring science, nature, geography, music, art and the wider world
Alongside Montessori, children enjoy a rich variety of play experiences inspired by their interests, including science, music, drama, cooking, gardening, construction, arts and crafts and outdoor exploration.
By balancing structured learning with creativity and play, we help children develop the confidence, resilience and love of learning that prepares them not only for primary school, but for life.
